Together Walgreens FAQ

Grassroots advocacy, or grassroots for short, is a people-powered political movement to influence decision makers. Grassroots movements often draw together people who have something in common, and their goal is to make changes that benefit their community and shared interests, including their patients and customers. These community members encourage and motivate each other to take actions that affect policy changes at all levels of government, from city councils, county commissions, and state legislatures, all the way to Congress and the president.

Why is grassroots advocacy important?

Walgreens Government Relations works every day to move the needle with decision makers and legislators in DC, state capitals, and across the country, but that's only part of the picture. We need your diverse voices and perspectives -- it's crucial for Walgreens to develop and nurture a community of employee advocates who can educate lawmakers on the impact we have in our neighborhoods.
